1. Overview of Consulting Engagements

Data Tempobase provides high-touch professional engineering advisory, database schema audit services, and live cutover steering. Because our consulting involves reserved architect availability, dedicated preparation, and intellectual property delivery, this Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines the exact terms governing engagement cancellations, rescheduling, and milestone disbursements.

2. Diagnostic Audits (2-Week Feasibility Engagements)

  • Cancellation Prior to Inception: If the Client cancels a scheduled diagnostic audit at least seven (7) business days prior to the agreed kickoff date, a 100% full refund of any prepaid deposit will be issued.
  • Cancellation After Kickoff: Once architectural discovery calls and static schema audits have commenced, the initial deposit is non-refundable, reflecting engineering hours already expended.
  • Defective Deliverable Remedy: If an audit deliverable fails to cover the agreed scope specified in the Statement of Work, Data Tempobase will conduct supplementary review sessions at no additional charge within ten (10) business days.

3. Milestone-Based Migration Blueprints (4 to 6-Week Engagements)

Our flagship blueprints are structured around milestone phases (Phase 1: Discovery & Dependency Mapping, Phase 2: Schema Design & Dual-Write Architecture, Phase 3: Validation & Cutover Runbook):

  • Completed Milestones: Payments disbursed upon Client sign-off of a completed milestone are non-refundable.
  • In-Progress Milestones: In the event of early project termination by the Client during an active phase, billing will be prorated based on verified engineering hours worked up to the date of written notice, with any unexpended advance funds promptly refunded.

4. Live Cutover War-Room Steering & Rescheduling

  • Rescheduling: Scheduled live cutover windows may be rescheduled by the Client without penalty up to forty-eight (48) hours prior to the maintenance window.
  • Late Rescheduling or No-Show: If a scheduled production cutover window is aborted or rescheduled with less than twenty-four (24) hours' notice due to internal client blockers, a rescheduling fee of NT$ 25,000 (or $800 USD) will apply to re-reserve principal architect availability.

5. Non-Refundable Items

The following items and expenses are non-refundable under all circumstances:

  • Custom software tooling or automated checksum verification scripts delivered and accepted into the Client's version control.
  • Reimbursable travel and accommodation expenses incurred for on-site consulting in Taiwan previously approved in writing by the Client.

6. Refund Request Procedure & Processing Time

To submit a formal refund or cancellation request, the authorized technical or financial representative must submit written notice via email to info@data-tempobase.click containing:

  • Contract / Statement of Work reference number.
  • Detailed reason for cancellation or refund request.
  • Designated corporate bank account details for wire transfer.

Approved refund requests are processed within seven (7) to ten (10) business days via direct corporate bank wire transfer in the original currency of payment (TWD or USD).
